Charge of Animal Cruelty against Police Constable

A man, age 26 of George Town, has been charged with one count of Animal Cruelty as a result of an investigation by the Department of Agriculture into an incident in December of 2017, during which it is alleged that the man delayed veterinary treatment to his pet dog after it had been struck by a car.

 

The man was arrested by a staff member of the Department of Agriculture on 13 June, and is currently on bail.

 

The man is a police constable with the RCIPS.
