DOA and Community Police Officers Seize Strays in George Town, 8 March

8th March, 2019 Police Headlines

Community Police Officers PC Byron Morgan and AC Calasia Burke of beat 8 – George Town, along with Officer Erik Bodden of the DOA, attended an area of Cox Road, George Town, where they saw several dogs that were not tethered with access to the public road.  The officers had previously received a number of complaints and information from the residents in that area, that the dogs were loose and were attacking children playing and riding their bikes outside.

The officers assisted with the seizure of 4 strays that were taken from the location by the DOA. This action was well received by the members of that community.

Dog owners are encouraged to ensure that they are on the right side of the law when it comes to their pets. To find out if you are, contact your beat officers and they will speak with you and provide you with educational materials.
