Police Advise Motorists to Exercise Caution During May Classic Stage 1 Road Race, 3 May

3rd May, 2019

On Sunday, 5 May, Spartan is hosting Stage 1 of the May Cycling Classics. The 40 mile road race begins at 7:15AM and is expected to finish at 10:00AM. It begins and ends at the junction of Frank Sound Road and Bodden Town Road. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling in these areas on Sunday morning.

Police Issue Advice to the Public After 7 DUI Arrests Made this Past Weekend, 12 April

12th April, 2019

This past weekend, 5 – 7 April, RCIPS officers arrested 7 persons on suspicion of DUI as a result of ongoing traffic enforcement efforts. Two of the persons arrested had a blood alcohol content of over twice the legal limit, and all of those arrested, if convicted, face the prospect of losing their license for at least a year.
