Police Investigate Construction Site Thefts in West Bay, 23 January

23rd January, 2019 Police Headlines

Yesterday, 22 January, police received two reports of thefts at two construction sites on Yacht Drive in West Bay.  That morning break-ins into containers were discovered at the construction sites, from which some valuable construction tools had been taken.  Police responded to the reports and processed the scenes, and the incidents are under investigation.

Police are urging owners of construction equipment to maintain a log of the serial numbers for all of their tools and equipment, with photographs.  Maintaining such information can greatly assist police with their investigation and help identify rightful owners of stolen property.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity along Yacht Drive on Monday evening, 21 January, or early Tuesday morning, 22 January, is asked to please contact the West Bay Police Station at 949-3999.  Anonymous tips or can be submitted directly to police or through Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 or online.
