Snorkeling related death – George Town
About 10.00am on Thursday, 16 May, a 63-year-old cruise ship passenger was snorkeling off Eden Rock with friends when he got into difficult. The man, who was from the US, was brought to shore by his friends. CPR was administered by EMS and he was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The matter is under investigation by the Joint Marine Unit.  17th May 2013, 5:08pm
Police employee sentenced following corruption investigation
Patricia Webster, an employee of the RCIPS, is the first person to be convicted at Grand Court following an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Commission. 17th May 2013, 12:00pm
Flare gun, mask and bayonet seized during house search – Man in custody
A man has been arrested and is currently detained in police custody after an early morning raid on a house in East End. 15th May 2013, 5:16pm
