West Bay is geographically the second largest district in Grand Cayman.

West Bay police station covers the area from the northern border of Government House on the West Bay Road and extends to Barkers.

The police station can be found on West Church Street.

The district is approximately 5 square miles in size and has a population of about 11,500 residents. The main economic activity of the district is commercial and residential.

An average of 60 % of the population commute to and from George Town on a daily basis.

Chief Inspector Harlan Powery is assisted by his Deputy Area Commander, Inspector Brad Ebanks, 32 police officers and 3 members of support staff.

West Bay may be small in size but it excels in terms of proactive community initiatives. The officers work closely with businesses and communities to host movie nights for local youngsters and they recently piloted the hugely successful RCIPS Junior Police Academy at Sir John A. Cumber Primary School.
