Witness Appeal: Attempted Child Abduction in West Bay

The investigation into the reported incident of an attempted child abduction in the West Bay District is on-going and the investigators in the matter are seeking the assistance of the public.

Detectives have reason to believe that the child in this matter came into contact with several persons who were out and about in West Bay on the day the incident took place, Saturday 10th March, 2018, and they are asking that these persons come forward assist in the investigation.

Specifically, the detectives are looking for a man that was operating a car wash at the pond that is located at near Batabano Drive, and another man that was walking past the Lake Shore Condos on Bonneville Drive, wearing a green shirt, white shorts and socks and slippers on his feet. Both persons were spoken to by the child during the time that she was away from her home.

The child is a white female under the age of 10 years old with blonde hair, and on Saturday 10 March, between 3:30PM and 4PM her hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she was wearing a white sleeveless top and dark coloured shorts with slippers on her feet.

Anyone who saw this child and made contact with her on Saturday 10 March is asked to contact the West Bay Police Station detectives DC Shane Ennis at 926-4588 or DC Teddy Mitchell at 936-1297.
