The RCIPS believes that a crime prevented is better than a crime solved. It is our aim to empower members of the public with information so that they can not only avoid becoming victims of crime, but also feel more safe and secure in their homes and neighbourhoods. For this reason the sharing of crime prevention advice and the facilitation of neighbourhood watches is a cornerstone of our Community Policing program.  With more beat officers on patrol in 2018, we intend to disseminate more crime prevention tips and launch more neighbourhood watches throughout all districts, and fundamentally improve the level of partnership among all groups in the Cayman Islands toward greater public safety.

These tips are grouped according to topic and center around safety tips as well as crime prevention. Stay informed about crime trends that may be developing in your area by monitoring our news releases; we try to indicate through public notifications such as these when we are seeing a pattern of criminal or suspicious activity.
