Beat 1 encompasses the district of East End, from Sea View Road to the Queens HighWay.

PC Lazarus Moraes, PC Rohan White and PC Matthew Beale each have over 10 years of policing experience and a wealth of training to assist them in their role as community officers for the district of East End. The officers have worked in the district for a number of years and are very familiar with the local community and businesses.

They are dedicated to building a wholesome relationship with the people of East End and working on the issues that the citizens of East End present to them. The officers operate from the East End Police Station, but can often be seen on mobile patrol and foot patrols in the district.

The following are some issues that community officers in East End will be working to address:

  • Traffic Driving offenses – speeding and pedestrian safety
  • Anti-social behaviour and Drug use
  • Community beautification through clean-up projects
  • Ferocious Dogs and Animal Cruelty

The officers intend to facilitate development and change in the community through a collaboration with other police departments such as the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit, as well as external entities such as the Department of Environment, Department of Agriculture, the Public Works Department, and the Department of Community Rehabilitation.  Most importantly, they plan to involve members of the community in all of these collaborations.
