East End Police Station

The police station in the district of East End serves to supplement the services provided through the main Bodden Town Police Station for the Eastern Districts. There are two dedicated Neighbourhood Police Officers who operate out of this station under the supervision of a sergeant who oversees the stations in both North Side and East End. Because it does not offer the full range of services provided by the main police stations, the East End Police Station is referred to as a substation. The East End Police Station, located at 460 Austin Connolly Drive, will be transitioned into a resident station early in 2018, meaning the officers who operate out of that station will also reside there full time. Having residential officers enables community members in emergency situations to acquire direct assistance from these officers at any time if needed, which is especially critical for those members of the public in the area who may not have access to telephones.  The Bodden Town Police Station, however, remains the main station for the Eastern Districts, and all regular inquiries should be directed there. All calls for service in the Eastern Districts should also be made to the Bodden Town Station or to 9-1-1.

“I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to serve the communities of the Eastern Districts. As Area Commander, my goal is to ensure the professionalism of our service delivery and build safer communities. We can only achieve this if we the police and the public work together in partnership. Therefore I am eager to meet with the residents and community groups in the Eastern Districts and encourage them to reach out to me.”  --- Acting Inspector Fernando Soto, Area Commander
