Beat 2 - North Side

Beat 2 - North Side

Beat 2 encompasses the district of North Side, from Frank Sound Road to Kaibo. PC Brenda Chery, PC Davison Crichlow and PC Shauna Smith are the beat officers for the district of North Side.


The officers all together have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they share with each other in order work as efficiently and productively as possible.


PC Chery also works closely with the schools in the Eastern Districts and together with PC Smith and PC Crichlow, they work to build a partnership with the parents and children in their community. They organise activities such as youth fun days and other youth outreach programmes within their beats.


The officers can be seen regularly in their beats on mobile and foot patrol; they like to drop in on public gatherings and meet the people in the community. They will be collaborating with other partners such as the Youth Services Unit, the Department of Children and Family Services, the Department of Environment and the Department of Agriculture, on various projects and issues of community concern.


Some of their regular work will focus on traffic enforcement in order to assist with the organization of traffic operations to reduce traffic collisions and speeding in their beat, especially on the weekends. They will also be working on reducing anti-social behaviour and the use of drugs amongst the youth and in tourist-populated areas, and on community-led beautification projects.

Beat 2 Update:

The officers of Beat 2 (North Side) have been working on their objective of reducing crime and traffic offenses in the community. They have been doing several vehicle checks and patrols in the community too ensure that all person driving in the district, are doing so within the law. Radar traps have also been set on popular days to ensure that the roads are kept safe and that persons visiting the district, show respect to the district and its people by obeying the law. 


Officers have been carrying out regular patrols and meeting with community memebers every chance they get. They have been participating in community activities such as school career days and fun days.

Shortly before 7:00AM on Sunday, 11 August, a report was received of an indecent assault that had occurred on Old Robin Road in North Side.

Traffic Accident Following a Wounding on North Sound Road, 29 July

Just before 1:45AM today, 29 July, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report that two men had been engaged in a dispute at Vic’s Bar located off North Sound Road, which led to one of the men being seriously injured.
