Brad Ebanks

Superintendent Brad Ebanks leads Uniform and Specialist Operations, which consists of the Air Operations Unit, Firearms Response Unit, K-9, Roads Policing and Traffic Enforcement, Community Policing, Uniform Operations and Operational Support.

Superintendent Ebanks joined the RCIPS as a police officer in 1986, has served in various branches of the RCIPS during his thirty-two year career, with the majority of his career policing his home district of West Bay. In 2005 Supt. Ebanks was transferred to the JMU as an Inspector, and became involved in the acquisition process of four new vessels for the JMU fleet, of which the RCIPS took possession between 2008 and 2009. He was also involved in the planning of the new Marine Base, which was completed in 2012.

For the last ten years of his career Supt. has concentrated professionally on border security for the Cayman Islands. During his time as Head of the JMU, he helped develop closer cooperation with Customs and Immigration, which resulted in more effective enforcement through streamlined border security operations.

Superintendent Ebanks has attended numerous management and law enforcement colleges throughout the Caribbean including Jamaica, Antigua, Barbados as well the USA, Canada and the UK, where he has received certificates in law enforcement management.
