Applications to hold a public procession should be submitted at least a week before the event is scheduled, especially if the foreseen event includes road closures. Legislation only requires that these requests be submitted at least three working days prior to the event date at a minimum, however a full seven days is strongly preferred. An acknowledgement of receipt from the RCIPS should be received within one (1) working day.
