Shortly before 8:00PM on Friday, 17 July, officers were dispatched to a report of an assault incident at an address in West Bay. It was reported that two men known to each other had been involved in a physical altercation, potentially involving a knife.
Police attended the location and spoke to both men. One of the men appeared to have received injuries, including a stab wound to the leg. He was transported to hospital for treatment, subsequently discharged into police custody, and later released
The other man, age 27, has since been charged with one count of Wounding and one count of Wounding with intent.
He appeared in court on Monday, 20 July.
