Just before 4:30PM on Friday, 19 September, police responded to a report of an armed robbery which had taken place at a location on Barcadere Drive, George Town. The men took a large quantity of cash, recently collected for staff payments, from the vehicle, as well as a handbag containing personal effects.
This week, officers responded to two incidents where vehicles appear to have been deliberately set on fire. A stolen Honda CR-V was set on fire in George Town, while two jet skis were set on fire at an address in West Bay. Both incidents are under police investigation.
On Sunday, 21 September, officers arrested a man who was wanted in relation to an attempted robbery and shooting incident on 16 September. He has since been formally charged for that incident, along with additional offenses observed at the time of his arrest.
