At the end of March, Community Police Officers in Beat 8 - Waterfront joined with the National Roads Authority to assist in installing pedestrian crossing signs and road markings at the intersection of North Church Street and Mary Street.
The new markings have been operational for over a month now and have made it much more safe and easy for pedestrians to cross the road when travelling to and from nearby restaurants and shops on the waterfront.
This effort marks part of the Beat 8 Community Officers’ efforts to ensure the safety and security of all those in the waterfront area, whether business patrons, pedestrians or motorists.
