Cayman Crime Stoppers is an independent and international crime fighting charity with chapters in many English-speaking countries. Its objective is to provide the public with a purely anonymous channel with which to convey information to the police about crimes, with cash incentives to do so. Cayman Crime Stoppers works closely with the RCIPS, though it is entirely independent of the police, with a volunteer and civilian board.
Tips and information passed to Cayman Crime Stoppers through their website or app go directly to the Crime Stoppers information centre in Cayman, not the RCIPS, and are assigned a number, and then transmitted to the police. Neither Crime Stoppers nor the RCIPS ever learns the identity of the person who sent the information, or the “tipster.” More information can be found on the Cayman Crime Stoppers site.
