Management

Management refers to the both the strategic and administrative departments and units within the RCIPS which support police operations.  It encompasses the Senior Command Team, which makes strategic decisions on all aspects of police business, as well as those offices that manage finance and budgets, human resources and training, discipline, information management and technology, and public relations. All of these departments are described in further detail on the pages below, most of which fall within the Governance and Strategy portfolio of the organization.

I have spent the past two days contemplating whether to respond to the article in a local media house captioned: ‘235 cop complaints made but no officers fired’.  As Commissioner I truly appreciate the public interest in this topic, but wish to provide clarity on what is missing from the initial reporting.

RCIPS Introduces New Marked Service Vehicles, 2 June

The RCIPS is upgrading its fleet of marked service vehicles. In the coming weeks, the public can expect to see these vehicles on patrol on Cayman’s roads, in use by frontline and firearm officers.
