Beat 9 Officers have accomplished the below so far in this beat:

  • The establishment of a Snug Harbour Neighbourhood Watch group and committee. (There have been 0 reported burglaries since establishing the group).
  • Closer liaison and involvement with the Parkway, Canal Point and Lime Tree Bay home owners associations and Strata groups.
  • Targeted patrols along Seven Mile Beach to tackle anti-social behavior, drugs reports and water safety.
  • Partnered with Camana Bay, D’Signs and the Lighthouse School to implement disabled parking signs designed by the children from the school.

Going forward AC Burke hopes to achieve the following:

  • Establish more links with other communities that haven’t been reached yet (and he encourages anyone in Beat 9 to get in touch with him).
  • Reduce instances of drug offences along Seven Mile Beach
  • Work with the community to reduce water related fatalities and near fatalities in 2019.
  • Expand the business watch scheme and deliver more crime prevention advice.
  • Implement more safety and security measures such as lockers, AED’s, Life rings and designated swim zones along Seven Mile Beach.
  • Work with young people in Cayman to create opportunities to keep them away from crime.
  • Ensure Cayman maintains its reputation of being the safest place to be in the Caribbean.

AC Burke looks forward to your continued support.
