It is charged with generating operational orders for ceremonial and other major public events, processing public procession requests and general contingency planning. The Office is an organizational and problem-solving mechanism within Uniform and District Operations which makes processes run smoother and ensures a better delivery of all police services.
Chief Inspector Harlan Powery operates out of the George Town Police Station and is in charge of the Chief of Staff Office.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, through its partnership with the Cayman Islands Ministry of Education & Training, is pleased to announce that two RCIPS officers have been awarded government post-secondary scholarships to pursue a BSc in Professional Policing at the University of Portsmouth in England.
The George Town Police Station will be relocating to 19 Eastern Avenue and will be fully operational at this new location on Monday morning 13 April, 2026.
