Police, paramedics and other members of the public made attempts at reviving and resuscitate a 65 year old man from the USA, was found unresponsive out in the water. Their efforts proved futile.
The man was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the on duty A&E doctor at 1:31PM.
