Forensic Examination of Human Remains Found in Bodden Town Completed

14th March, 2018 Police Headlines

Forensic archaeologists and anthropologists in the US have examined the bones recovered during excavations in Bodden Town in September of last year (see below). The bones have been determined to have been buried for at least 75 years. The examination also did not find any obvious cause of death or injuries. Due to these factors the bones are not subject to any further legal or medical investigation.

Police enquiries have been unable to determine who the remains may have been, however all relevant and interested parties have been made aware of the findings of the examination. Police will liaise with HM Coroner’s office to determine the best course of action for a proper return and interment of these remains.
