On Thursday morning, 21 September, police arrested a man, age 33 of George Town, in relation to an incident which occurred earlier that morning. It was reported that the man had broken into the residence of a woman known to him, brandished a knife, made threats, assaulted her, and took a quantity of cash and a personal item from the residence.
He has since been formally charged with two counts of Aggravated Burglary, and one count each of Threats to Kill, Causing Fear or Provocation of Violence, and Assault ABH.
He appeared in court today, 25 September, and was remanded in custody pending a further appearance.
