Update:

The man, age 57 of Cayman Brac, who was arrested on Tuesday, 18 December (see below), has been formally charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Ganja. He has been bailed to court for 9 January.

Initial Release:

Early on the morning of Tuesday, 18 December, a team of officers from the Joint Task Force, Joint Marine Unit, Air Operations Unit, Tactical Firearms Unit and the Customs Department conducted an intelligence-led operation on Cayman Brac that resulted in a number of searches.  During a search at an address in Cayman Brac under the misuse of drugs law, several ounces of suspected cocaine and a quantity of suspected ganja were recovered. A man, age 57 of Cayman Brac, was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and possession of ganja. The man was transported to Grand Cayman, where he remains in custody as investigations continue.
