Shortly before 2:00AM today, 25 June, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a restaurant on Shedden Road, George Town, just east of North Sound Road. It was reported that a lone masked man entered the restaurant, brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash from the workers. The man then fled the scene on foot with a quantity of cash from the register. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being of dark complexion, about 5’5” in height, and was wearing a hooded top and light-coloured pants, with his face covered.
The matter is under investigation and anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
