Police Investigate Attempted Burglary Incident at an ATM in Bodden Town, 5 October

Just before 4:45 AM today, 5 October, police responded to the Country Side Shopping Village, located on Hirst Road in Bodden Town, where it was reported that an attempted burglary incident had taken place.

 

Information suggests that someone driving and operating a heavy equipment vehicle attempted to gain entry to the Credit Union’s Automated Teller Machine (ATM) by damaging the glass and concrete structure. 

 

The heavy equipment vehicle, used at the time, was later confirmed to have been taken without the owner’s consent. The perpetrator exited the vehicle and entered a white coloured pickup truck and left the location. He has not been identified, and no arrests have been made.

 

Police are currently investigating this incident and are seeking the assistance of witnesses. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
