Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal sing-vehicle collision which took place on Sunday night, 21 September, in Cayman Brac. He is Marcos Ruben Soto Rivera, age 34 of Honduras.
The RCIPS once again extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The matter is currently under investigation by officers from the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or seen Mr. Soto Rivera or the white Hyundai I-10 he was driving, prior to the incident, is asked to contact the Cayman Brac Police Station at 948-0331.

Initial Release (22 September):
Shortly before 10:00PM last night, 21 September, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision, involving a Hyundai I-10 which had left the roadway and overturned, on West End East Road, Cayman Brac.
Police, Fire, and EMS attended the location and assisted in removing the driver from the wreckage. He was subsequently pronounced deceased on the scene.
A section of West End East Road was closed following the incident and has since been reopened. The matter is currently under investigation and accident reconstructionists from Grand Cayman have travelled to Cayman Brac to assist with the investigation.
The deceased is a 34-year-old Honduran national, residing in Cayman Brac. The RCIPS expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
