It is reported that two persons were sitting inside a parked vehicle when a man opened the door of the vehicle and demanded property. An altercation ensued between the suspect and one of the occupants, during which the occupant was struck with an object. The suspect then fled the location with a cell phone.
The victim was transported to hospital and was treated for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as being of medium build, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and of fair skin complexion.
The matter remains under investigation, and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Wahoo Close on 17 June between 10:00AM and 11:00AM to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
