Shortly after 3:30PM yesterday, 15 June, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a store on Stadium Drive in West Bay. It was reported that a masked man entered the store, brandishing what appeared to be a steel pipe, and demanded cash. He then fled the location on foot with the cash register. The man was confronted by members of the public in the vicinity of Scholars Park, and then fled north, leaving the register behind but taking a quantity of cash. He appears to have left the scene in a white Honda Fit.
The suspect is described as being of chubby build and light complexion, wearing a black shirt covering his face, a long-sleeved light-coloured shirt and long black pants.
The matter is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact West Bay CID at 949-3999.
