Police Investigate Robbery Incident in George Town, 19 May

On Tuesday, 19 May, police officers responded to a report of a robbery that took place at a residence on Denham Thompson Way in George Town.

It was reported that shortly before 1:30 AM, two masked men, armed with what appeared to be a firearm and a sharp weapon, approached a victim outside the residence and demanded cash. The man with the gun struck the victim in the head. The suspects then entered the premises, stole a quantity of cash and personal items before fleeing the location.

No shots were fired during the incident. However, the initial victim sustained injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The suspects are described as slim build and between approximately 5’6” and 5’8” in height, wearing full face masks.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have observed suspicious activity on Denham Thompson Way or in the surrounding communities, between 1:00am and 2:00am on 19 May, to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
