A 24-year-old-man of West Bay was arrested on Monday 2 January on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to a shooting incident that took place on Sunday 18 December, 2022 at the Marquee Plaza. The man has since been charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Attempted Murder.
He appeared in court today, Wednesday 4 January, where he was remanded in custody until Friday, 6 January, when he will appear in the Grand Court.

Initial Release: (19 December)
Just after 7:20PM on Sunday 18 December, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of shots being fired at the Marquee Plaza, located on Lawrence Boulevard. It was reported that a man received a single gun-shot wound to his torso area, following an altercation at the rear of the Power Supply Bar.
The victim was transported to the hospital by private vehicle, where he was treated for serious injuries. His condition remains critical but stable. No arrests have been made at this time.
The incident is being investigated by the RCIPS Criminal Investigations Department and detectives are aware that there were several persons at the location at the time of the incident.
