Police Investigate Stolen Vehicles, Including Boats and Trailer, 7 April

Police are investigating reports of two stolen boats and a report of a stolen boat trailer, received over the past two weeks.

 

On Tuesday, 5 April, police received a report of a stolen 33ft Dusky boat with a blue hull, a white gunwale and powered by two black 250HP Suzuki outboard engines. The boat was last seen on Friday, 1 April, and discovered missing at about 7:00AM on Tuesday, 5 April. The boat was stolen from a canal off Will Wallace Drive, George Town.

 

CCTV footage shows that the theft occurred shortly after 2:45AM on Tuesday, and two male suspects were involved. One of the suspects is described as being of dark complexion and slim build, and the other was of light complexion wearing red clothing. They arrived on location in a silver vehicle.

The same day, police also received a report of a stolen boat trailer, which was last seen at an address on Sea View Road, East End on Monday, 4 April at 10:30AM, and was discovered missing on Tuesday, 5 April at about 10:00AM.

 

The trailer is a 2000 Continental aluminum trailer with a steel tongue and a trailer guide on the right side. It is property of the Department of Environment, with the designation DOE12 and a registration number of 83 887.

 

On Thursday, 24 March, police received a report of a stolen 25ft Dory boat with a blue hull, red upper bow and interior, and a grey 40HP Yamaha outboard engine. The boat was last seen securely anchored on a mooring in the water off Sea View Road at about 7:00PM on Wednesday, 23 March.

Police are also investigating ten other reports of stolen vehicles which have been received since the beginning of the year and remain outstanding. Six of these vehicles are motorcycles.
