At about 9:20PM on Saturday, 16 May, officers on patrol on Dennis Foster Road in Cayman Brac, came upon a two-vehicle collision in the vicinity of Wellington Park Close, involving a Honda Pilot Elite SUV and a Hyundai Grand I-10, which both received damage.
Officers spoke to and breath tested both drivers. The driver of the Hyundai was found to be under the limit. The driver of the Honda, a man, age 55 residing in Cayman Brac, was found to be over the limit, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The driver of the Hyundai complained of pain and was transported to the Faith Hospital by EMS, for treatment for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. CI Fire Service officers attended the location and assisted in clearing the roadway and securing the vehicles.
The matter is currently under investigation by the RCIPS.
