Police Investigate Wounding Incident Outside Licensed Premises, 27 January

Shortly before 2:30AM, this morning, Monday 27 January, police responded to a report of a man armed with a machete at a licensed premises on Eastern Avenue in the vicinity of the Dolphin Centre.

 

On arrival at the scene police observed a man with a wound to his stomach.  Emergency services attended to the man and transported him to the hospital where he received treatment, and remains in stable condition.

 

It was reported that the incident occurred when the victim, who was outside the licensed premises, was stabbed by a man unknown to him.

 

Police are investigating and request that anyone who witnessed the incident at this busy location, or has any information pertaining to the matter, to contact the police by calling 911, or the George Town Police Station on 949-4222
