A man, age 36 of West Bay, who was arrested in relation to the robbery that took place at a commercial property in George Town, on 28 May, has now been formally charged with:
Robbery
Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm with Intent to Commit an Offense
Two Counts of Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm
The man will appear before the court today, 2 June in relation to these charges.

Just after 11:20 AM today, 28 May, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a commercial property located on North Church Street.
It was reported that two men armed with handguns entered the premises and fired a single shot into the ceiling of the establishment. The men made off from the location on foot, having stolen several items of jewellery. They were believed to have gone in the direction of Bodden Road off North Church Street. No injuries were reported to the police.
Police responded immediately and conducted searches in the area. A vehicle believed to be involved in the incident was traced and recovered from a nearby location and seized as evidence. Two firearms and a quantity of jewellery were recovered from this vehicle.
Enquiries have so far led to the arrest of one man at a nearby address concerning this incident, who is currently being held in custody. Searches & enquiries are ongoing, and the incident is being investigated by the police.
