Just after 2:00 PM on 7th November, police were dispatched to a report of an attempted armed robbery at a business on Commercial Way, George Town. Two males entered the establishment, one reportedly armed with a handgun. As they entered, the attendant on duty managed to escape to a secure room, and the suspects left the premises shortly after without further incident.
Shortly after the first incident, police were dispatched to a report of robbery at a business on Kennedy Drive, George Town. Two males entered the establishment, one reportedly armed with a handgun, and robbed the occupants of a quantity of cash. The men then left the location and made good their escape.
It was also reported that the men, as they made their escape, attempted to rob another member of the public who was walking along Kennedy Drive in the vicinity of the establishment.
The men were described to be wearing face masks and high-visibility construction-style shirts.
The men were reported to have left both locations on a motorcycle.
There were no reports of injury to any member of the public nor discharge of a firearm during both incidents.
These incidents are being investigated by the police, and anyone with information is being encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
