Just after 5:00 PM on Sunday, 9 November, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a location on Queens Highway, East End, following a report of an industrial accident.
It was reported that three (3) persons, including family members, had been carrying out repairs on a piece of heavy-duty equipment on an open lot of a private premises when the equipment fell on one of them. A man, age 54, of a Bodden Town address, was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. The other persons present were not injured.
The incident is currently under investigation by the police.
