(2:50PM) Motorists are advised that the Esterley Tibbetts Highway is currently closed between the Jay Bodden Highway and the AL Thompson Roundabout, in the vicinity of the George Town Landfill, due to a fire at the landfill.
Traffic is being diverted to West Bay Road or through Industrial Park.
Persons should seek alternative routes for their safety and to reduce congestion.
Residents and businesses in surrounding areas may experience increased traffic flow and are encouraged to plan accordingly.
