The RCIPS wishes to advise the motoring public that the Cayman Pride Parade procession has been officially approved and is scheduled to take place this Saturday, 10 October 2026, within the approved event window of 3:30PM to 6:00PM.
Participants will assemble at XQ’s Pizza, Bar and Grill, located at 233 West Bay Road. The procession will travel north along West Bay Road, cross the Lawrence Boulevard junction, and continue via Lizard Run, Canal Point Drive, and Lime Tree Bay Avenue, ultimately concluding in the vicinity of the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators while minimising the effects of traffic on our roadways caused by the event, rolling road closures will begin at the parade’s starting point and progress in direct coordination with the movement of participants. Once the procession has safely cleared each section, that segment of the roadway will be promptly reopened to vehicular traffic.
The planned closure stages are as follows:
Stage 1: 233 West Bay Road (XQ’s Restaurant) to Lawrence Boulevard.
Stage 2: Lawrence Boulevard to Lizard Run.
Stage 3: Lizard Run to Canal Point Drive.
Stage 4: Canal Point Drive to Lime Tree Bay.
Stage 5: Lime Tree Bay to Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa, including the section along West Bay Road to Seven-Mile Public Beach.
Police barriers and clear signage will be positioned at key junctions and entry points to alert motorists and prevent unauthorised access to the active parade route. The public can expect to see an increased presence of officers ensuring public safety, directing traffic, and actively coordinating the staged closures and subsequent reopenings.
Motorists travelling in the West Bay Road and Seven-Mile Beach areas during this time are strongly encouraged to allow additional travel time for their journeys, exercise caution, and strictly follow directions given by officers on-site alongside posted signage.
The RCIPS thanks the public for its cooperation and patience as we facilitate this community event while keeping our roadways safe.
