In response to community concerns reported to the police about illegal activity and allegations of immigration offences, RCIPS and CBC officers conducted a joint operation early on the morning of Thursday, 5 December, just off the Cypros Road area of George Town.
On approaching the location, officers located and arrested one man, while a second man ran from the scene and made good his escape.
The man, a 24-year-old Jamaican national, was found to be residing in Cayman on an expired work permit, and is currently in CBC custody awaiting deportation.
