On Saturday, 23 June, RCIPS community police officers will be hosting a day of community engagement at different locations throughout the islands.
Community officers from each of the 12 beats on Grand Cayman, along with Cayman Brac, will be present at these locations to interact with members of the public and receive feedback or suggestions on the community policing program.
“This community engagement is part of our continued drive, commitment and development of the community policing strategy,” said Superintendent Robert Graham. “The purpose is to reach out to as many community members as possible so that we can improve engagement and accessibility to the community officers across the island.”
The engagement day will run on Saturday, 23 June, between 11:00AM and 4:00PM at the following locations:
Hurley’s Grand Harbor
Foster’s Republix (10:00AM – 12:00PM)
Centennial Towers (12:00PM – 3:00PM)
Morritt’s Shopping Center
“The feedback we receive on Saturday will help us to build upon the service we provide, address any concerns and strive to provide the community with a first class service where officers are known, accessible and responsive,” added Superintendent Graham. “We do hope the community will take advantage of this opportunity to come out and meet their beat officers if they have not already.”
