RCIPS Conducts Joint Clean-Up Initiative in West Bay, 5 June

5th June, 2026 Police Headlines

On Thursday, 4 June, RCIPS officers supported by representatives from the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) conducted a clean-up operation in the Mary Mollie Hydes Road area of West Bay.

The operation formed part of ongoing activities by the RCIPS to discourage anti-social behaviour, disrupt criminal activity, and improve public safety in the district of West Bay, in response to community concerns.

The team removed a number of abandoned and discarded items that were contributing to the deterioration of the area.

Inspector Cowan, District Commander for West Bay, said: “This area has been the subject of repeated concerns from residents regarding loitering, disorderly behaviour, and activities that negatively impact the surrounding community. The RCIPS is committed to addressing these concerns and will continue to take action where necessary to reduce anti-social behaviour, and improve quality of life for those who live and work in West Bay.”

The RCIPS will continue to promote safety and address concerns affecting communities across the Cayman Islands.
