This application applies to persons wishing to renew a security guard's license.
Please complete the form and gather all supporting documents. Once completed, it can be printed from this portal, and brought it to the RCIPS Business Centre for processing. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the Security and Firearms Licensing Unit. You will be contacted within 7-10 working days.
When contacted, you will be asked to come to the RCIPS Business Centre on Walkers Road for collection of your new license and identification card. You must bring original or notarized copies of any and all documents requested along with this application to this appointment. Among these, you must provide a local valid Police Clearance Certificate if you are a resident of the Cayman Islands, and/or a clearance certificate from his/her country of origin (if different) and/or any country in which he/she has resided since the age of eighteen years. You also must provide a set of fingerprints from a reputable Governmental body as well as two (2) color, passport size photographs showing the full face, which should be notarized.
If applying from abroad, these documents must be mailed to the RCIPS Business Centre, Security/Firearms Licensing Unit, PO Box 909, Grand Cayman, KY1-1103 CAYMAN ISLANDS.
The fee is $50CI if the application is submitted on time (30 days prior to expiration), otherwise the fee is $100CI.
