In order to facilitate the National Heroes Day Celebrations which are taking place on Monday, 26 January, the following road closures will be in place from Friday, 23 January at 6:00PM to Monday, 26 January, at 10:00PM.

National Heroes Day official celebrations:

• Commencement of Closures: Friday, 23 January 2026 at 6:00PM.

• Temporary Reopening: Saturday, 24 January 2026, between 12:00AM. and 12:00PM.

• Continuation of Closures: Roads will remain closed following the temporary reopening period and will reopen at the conclusion of the ceremony on Monday, 26 January 2026 at 10:00PM.

Affected Locations:

• Fort Street will be closed between North Church Street and the junction of Fort Street and Edward Street.

• Edward Street will be closed between Fort Street and Main Street. 

• Cardinall Avenue will be closed between Albert Panton Street and Edward Street.

• Albert Panton Street will be closed.
