For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. This evening, 30 September, the NRA was able to conduct repairs on the control unit for the traffic lights at the Bobby Thompson Way and Smith Road junction, substituting previously used parts. As such, the lights are now currently operational, however, it is possible that the repair will only function temporarily. In the event that the lights once again ceases to function, the junction will revert to the previous temporary layout as a four-way stop.
The NRA and RCIPS will continue to monitor the operation of the lights and work together to ensure that the situation is managed and that traffic can continue to flow as safely and efficiently as possible.
