Early Saturday morning, 11 October, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at an address on Watercourse Road in West Bay. It was reported that there had been an altercation between persons known to each other at the location. Police attended the location and spoke to the involved parties, determining that the matter stemmed from a dispute between landlords and tenants.
Following further enquiries, that same afternoon, a man and woman age 54 and 45 respectively, who had both been involved in the altercation, were arrested at the location by officers.
The man, who had reportedly brandished a machete and made threats, was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and causing fear or provocation of violence. The woman, who had reportedly assaulted another person with an object, was arrested on suspicion of assault ABH and damage to property.
The matter is currently under investigation.
