Shortly after 5:10PM on Wednesday, 21 May, a 28-year-old man from George Town was arrested on arrival at the Owen Roberts International Airport on his return to the Cayman Islands.
The man was arrested on Suspicion of Murder, concerning the death of Christopher Johnson, who was found at a commercial premises on Middle Road in George Town on 31 December, 2024.
The man has since been formally charged with Murder. He is scheduled to attend the Grand Court midday today, Friday 23 May.

Investigations continue into the death of a man, who was found unresponsive at the rear of a commercial premises on Middle Road, George Town, on 31 December, 2024. Recent inquiries now suggest that this incident is a suspicious death.
Evidence suggests that the victim may have been assaulted between approximately 4.30AM and 7.30AM on the day he was found, which subsequently resulted in his death.
Police can now confirm the name of the deceased. He is, Christopher Spencer Johnson, age 56, of George Town.
RCIPS expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
