Further to the release below, on Monday, 15 January, shortly after 6:30PM, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a shooting in the vicinity of Avon Way, off Eastern Avenue, George Town. Upon arriving home, and while still in his vehicle, the victim was approached by a lone male who shot him. The suspect then fled the scene.
Emergency responders attended the scene and the victim was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
