Shortly after 12:00PM yesterday, 28 November, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a report of a person in distress in the waters of the North Sound. A man had been out on a snorkeling trip when he lost consciousness after entering the water. He was assisted back to the vessel he had been on and CPR was performed as the vessel returned to shore. The man was then transported by EMS to the Cayman Islands Hospital and subsequently pronounced dead.
The man, age 80, is a visitor from the United States
