For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. On Friday, 3 August, a woman at the Owen Roberts International Airport was found with a sum of US $9,500 strapped to her body. The 48-year-old woman, who was leaving the island for Colombia, was arrested by the RCIPS Financial Crime Unit and later charged with Concealing Criminal Property, Possession of Criminal Property, and Removing Criminal Property from the Island, all of which are money laundering offenses.
She appeared in Summary Court on Monday, 6 August and was remanded into custody pending a further court appearance.
